BehavedChart is a web-based behavior tracking tool built for teachers. A lead teacher creates a roster, sets up students, grades/sections, classes/subjects, and behaviors. The team logs student behavior throughout the day. Reports give you a clear picture of behavior trends over time. There's nothing to install. Just open a browser and go.
BehavedChart runs in your browser on any device: phone, tablet, or desktop. There's nothing to download or install. It works like an app without requiring one. A dedicated mobile app is planned for the future.
BehavedChart was built by a teacher, for teachers. A lead teacher owns and manages the roster, including setting up students, behaviors, and inviting team members. Team members can log behavior. Guest teachers (substitutes) can log behavior using a join code, no account required.
Yes. BehavedChart is mobile-first and works in any modern browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) on phones, tablets, and desktops. Just visit behavedchart.com on any device.
BehavedChart was built by a teacher who wanted a simpler way to track student behavior. It's a service of Keller LLC, a Florida limited liability company. If you have feedback or questions, we actually read our email.
This video walks through the full setup process — creating your roster, adding grades/sections, classes/subjects, students, and behaviors.
This video covers logging behavior for one or more students and pulling up reports to review behavior trends.
Click Sign Up Free and enter your name, school email, and a password. Once your account is created, you'll go straight to Settings to set up your first roster. The whole process takes just a few minutes.
Head to Settings and work through these steps in order:
  • Roster: Give your roster a name (e.g. "SPCS 4th Grade")
  • Grades/Sections: Add your grade levels or class sections (e.g. 6th Grade, 6A, 6B)
  • Classes/Subjects: Add subjects or periods (e.g. Math, Reading, Mr. Keller's Homeroom)
  • Students: Add students by grade/section. You can paste a list, one name per line.
  • Behaviors: Define the behaviors you want to track (e.g. "Off Task", "Disruptive")
Once those are set up, you're ready to start logging.
Go to Settings → Members and enter their full name, school email, and role. They'll receive an email invite with a magic link. Once they sign in, they'll have access to your roster and can start logging right away.
Yes. In Settings → Students, select a grade/section and paste a list of names, one per line in First Last format. BehavedChart will parse the list and add them all at once. You can copy and paste directly from a spreadsheet too.
No. When a lead teacher invites you, you'll receive an email with a magic sign-in link. Click it and you'll be prompted to set a password. Your account is created as part of the invite. No separate sign-up needed.
Go to Log Behavior and follow the step-by-step flow: select a grade/section, then a class/subject, then one or more students, then the behavior(s) you observed. Add a note if needed, then submit. Each log is timestamped and saved to those students' records. It's designed to be fast. A few taps and you're done.
Yes. The student selection step lets you pick multiple students before submitting. This is useful when the same behavior happened with a group at the same time. Select all the students involved, pick the behavior, and log it in one go.
Yes. The behavior selection step lets you pick multiple behaviors before submitting. All selected behaviors are recorded in a single log entry.
Yes. There's an optional notes field on every log entry. Use it to add context: what triggered the behavior, how it was handled, or anything useful for reports or parent conversations later.
Yes, depending on your plan. Free accounts can own 1 roster and be a member of 1 other. Plus allows 2 owned and 2 as a member. Pro allows 4 and 4. You can switch between rosters from within the tool. See Pricing for full details.
A guest teacher is a substitute or visiting teacher who doesn't have a BehavedChart account. They visit behavedchart.com/guest.html, enter your roster's join code, and can start logging behavior right away. No account, no password, no install needed. Their logs are saved to your roster just like any other teacher's.
Go to Settings → Guests. Your join code is displayed there. Share it with substitute teachers in advance. Just tell them to go to behavedchart.com/guest.html and enter the code. Guest access is available on Plus and Pro plans.
Yes. In Settings → Guests you can generate a new join code at any time. The old code stops working immediately. Just share the new one with your subs going forward.
Guest logging is available on Plus and Pro plans. Free accounts do not have access to join codes or guest logging. See Pricing to compare plans.
The Reports dashboard lets you filter behavior logs by date range, student, grade/section, class/subject, or behavior type. You can see how often specific behaviors are occurring, which students have the most entries, and track trends over time. It's useful for parent conferences, team meetings, or IEP documentation.
All logs are stored as long as your account is active. You can filter reports by any custom date range, from a single day to a full school year. There's no automatic data expiration while your account remains in good standing.
CSV export is on the roadmap and coming soon. In the meantime, all your data is viewable and filterable in the Reports dashboard for use during meetings or documentation review.
The Free plan includes 1 owned roster, 1 invited roster, 2 grades/sections, 8 classes/subjects, 50 students, 10 behaviors, and up to 10 members. No credit card required. Ever. It's a fully functional plan for smaller setups. The only thing not included on Free is the guest teacher join code feature.
Both Plus and Pro include guest teacher access. The difference is scale:
  • Plus ($3/mo or $25/yr): 2 owned rosters, 200 students, 20 behaviors, 20 members
  • Pro ($5/mo or $40/yr): 4 owned rosters, 400 students, 40 behaviors, 40 members
Pro is ideal for school-wide or multi-grade setups. See the full comparison on the Pricing page.
Yes. Paying annually saves you roughly 30%: Plus is $25/year (vs $36 billed monthly) and Pro is $40/year (vs $60 billed monthly). Annual billing is the best value if you plan to use BehavedChart for a full school year.
If your plan downgrades or expires, you'll be notified immediately and given a 3-day grace period. If your data still exceeds Free limits at the end of that window, the newest-added records are automatically removed to bring your account within Free limits. The deletion order is newest rosters first, then newest students, then newest behaviors. You can also manually delete data during the grace period to control what stays.
Most limits are per owned roster. Grades/sections, classes/subjects, students, and members all reset for each roster you own. The one exception is behaviors, which are shared globally across all your owned rosters. If your plan allows 20 behaviors, that pool is shared between all rosters you own.
Your data is private to your roster. BehavedChart uses row-level security so each roster's data is completely isolated. Members of one roster cannot access another's. We don't sell your data or share it with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
On the Login page, click "Forgot password? Send me a sign-in link instead." We'll email you a magic link. Click it to sign in. Once you're in, go to Settings → Me to set a new password.
Yes. BehavedChart supports magic link sign-in. Enter your email and we'll send a sign-in link. No password required. You can set one anytime under Settings → Me if you prefer traditional login.
Yes. You can delete students, behaviors, classes/subjects, and grades/sections from Settings. Deleting any record removes it from the database immediately and permanently. It is not archived or recoverable.
When you request account deletion, all your data (rosters, students, behavior logs, and your account record) is permanently removed from the database. To request deletion, reach out and we'll take care of it. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Yes. Go to Settings → Me and edit your email address in the Me table. Save the change and your account email will be updated.
Yes. If you were invited to a roster as a co-lead or co-teacher, you'll see a Leave Roster card in Settings → Me. Select the roster you want to leave and confirm. You can always be re-invited by the lead teacher if needed.
Yes. In Settings → Branding & Colors, you can upload a logo for your roster and choose a custom color scheme. Your logo is resized and stored automatically. Color presets are available or you can pick your own. These apply to your roster identity across the tool.

Yes. Lead teachers can transfer ownership to any current member of the roster. Go to Settings → Roster and find the Transfer Ownership card below the My Rosters table. Select the member you want to transfer to and confirm by typing TRANSFER. The other teacher becomes the new lead and you become a member.
Yes. In Settings → Behaviors, there is an Edit/Delete Log Entries for a Student card. Search for a student and you'll see all their log entries. You can edit the behavior, class/subject, date, and time on any entry, or delete it entirely.
Yes. Settings includes bulk delete options for logs by grade/section, by class/subject, or all at once. You can also delete all students in a specific grade/section, or all students on the roster. All deletions are permanent and remove data from the database immediately.
